Abstract | Die soziologische Großtheorie Pierre Bourdieus erfährt trotz ihrer Bedeutung nur geringfügige emotionssoziologische Annäherungen. Pierre Bourdieu's sociological theory, despite its importance, is only slightly approached from the perspective of the sociology of emotions. Parallel to this, socialization research comes up with blank spaces in which the socio-theoretical significance of emotions in the process of ontogenesis remains disregarded. This double desideratum is countered by showing, on the one hand, that Bourdieu's theory, contrary to a German history of reception that argues in the opposite direction, acquires its inner plausibility through emotions. On the other hand, it is shown that the introduction of a more complex understanding of emotions can prove profitable for socialization research and that Bourdieu's theory of the social - also with regard to questions of inequality - can be connected to this. |
